Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

Back for seconds.

download (1)Flint Lockwood (Bill Hader) now works for his childhood idol Chester V. (Will Forte) at The Live Corp Company however he is forced to leave his post when he finds out that his infamous food machine is still operational and has started creating menacing food monsters.

I remember going to the cinema to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and I loved it (I’m really a big kid), when I went to see this one again I left feeling the same magic as I did with the first. It’s perfect for kids and big kids like me. Don’t get me wrong its no “Toy Story” or “Lion King” but it is entertaining.

The one thing I didn’t like about this film was its title “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” I feel it’s a dull, generic and uninspiring title which lacked any kind of imagination or creativity, however that was the only thing I didn’t like about the film.

Mr. T was asked to do the voice of Earl Devereaux for the sequel however since he declined they re-casted and got Terry Crews in to do the job, which he does very well.

Anna Faris, James Caan, Andy Samberg, Benjamin Bratt, Will Forte and Neil Patrick Harris Join’s Bill Hader and Terry Crews to bring you the 2nd outing of Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Will there be a 3rd one? Possibly, my only hope is they are a bit more creative with its title if they decided to turn it into a trilogy.

Wreck It Ralph

Who in the holy hot cakes are YOU?

MV5BNzMxNTExOTkyMF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMzEyNDc0OA@@._V1_SX214_With all the different platforms out there It’s very rare these days to find a film that’s original, everything’s either based on something, such as a book, or a remake/Re-imagination of another film. However here is a film that’s bright, original and very entertaining for both kids and adults.

The film revolves around Ralph (voiced by John C. Reilly), who’s the main villain/bad guy in the popular arcade game “Fix-it Felix”. Fed up of always being the bad guy, Ralph “game jumps” in hope of earning himself a medal to prove that he too can be a good guy. His journey takes him to a game called “Sugar Rush”, a candy-coated racing game, where he befriends Vanellope von Schweetz (voiced by Sarah Silverman).

Here we have a film that is based around video games and yes some actual video game characters make an appearance such as; Pac-Man, Sonic, Ken, Ryu, Zangeif, Bison and Kano to name a few.

It was fun spotting video game characters in a Disney film, as well as some other video game themes, there’s hardly a minute that goes by where there isn’t something that references a video game. Unlike many video game themed films this one’s actually good!

As well as being appealing to gamers it also has that usual Disney magic which appeals to both kids and adults. The film did have that “Toy Story” feel about it, by which I mean things coming to life when left alone.

Cast members include

John C. Reilly as Ralph

Sarah Silverman as Vanellope von Schweetz

Jack McBrayer as Fix it Felix

Jane Lynch as Calhoun

What I found funny was the fact that Ralph and Calhoun actually looked like the actors.

If you’re looking for a film to take the little ones to or you’re a gamer check out Wreck It Ralph. You won’t be disappointed, in cinemas now.
