The Croods is the latest animated adventure from DreamWorks. Here we have a film that can be enjoyed by all members of the family.
The Croods are the last remaining family of cavemen and women in the area, the reason they have survived is because of Grug’s (Nicolas Cage) strength and the fact that they live by a set of rules, which include staying in the cave after dark and fearing anything that seems new, new is BAD! Despite the rules Grug’s daughter Eep (Emma Stone) wants to explore and live life. So she breaks free and rebels against her father which results in her meeting Guy. Guy (Ryan Reynolds) warns her of “The end of the world” and tells her his plan to go to a place where they will all be safe. When the Croods cave is destroyed they are force to travel with Guy to this new place.
Most of the humour in The Croods is slapstick and physical but that didn’t stop the adult from laughing as well as the kids. Unlike its name The Croods avoid any form of toilet humour.
Like many of the animated films the characters we voiced by some big names such as; Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Catherine Keener.
If you’re looking for a film to take the little ones I recommend The Croods in cinemas now
